Chapter 4 — Connect once, and every agent joins the team

Link Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini or Antigravity in a few minutes, and each one starts drawing on shared project skills right away while keeping its private knowledge on your machine.

Why connect at all? Because agents on a connected computer work as one team: they read the same project skills, hand tasks to each other, and save what worked for the next run. Your files, runs and learned memory stay on that computer (principles).

Technical details (Terminal, ports, MCP, hooks): Chapter 4 appendix.

#1. Install the app

  1. Open /download on your Mac (Apple Silicon) and download AgentWitch.
  2. Open the downloaded file and drag AgentWitch into Applications.
  3. Open AgentWitch from Applications. If macOS asks, choose Open.

If you opened it straight from the download window, the app offers Move to Applications. Use it, then open the app again.

On Linux (x86_64), the download page offers an AppImage or a .deb. A Linux browser can always use the Console.

#2. Sign in, and your computer is connected

The app opens your browser to sign in with Google or an email link. When you come back to the app, it finishes setup and connects this computer to your account. Under Mac & devices in the Console, the computer then shows as online, with This computer when you browse on the same Mac.

If setup stops with an error, try again from the app first. The repair command is in the appendix.

#3. Add the coding agents you already use

AgentWitch works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini and Antigravity. Install each one from its maker and sign in to it once. The app shows which ones it finds on this computer. Once an agent is installed, AgentWitch links it to your project skills, so it can find and reuse what the others learned.

Today the app does not install these tools or sign them in for you, and it does not list Antigravity yet. If an agent is not signed in, its run shows as blocked with the reason.

#4. More than one account on this Mac

Use the account switcher in the menu bar app: every account is listed, with Add account at the bottom. Each account keeps its own projects, runs and memory, and two accounts never share data.

#Repositories and folders (Mac-side)

Pick each project's folder in AgentWitch on this computer, using its folder picker. The Console cannot browse your disk. Tasks for that project then run in that folder.

#Local knowledge (Mac app — efficient memory)

In AgentWitch on this computer, Knowledge shows what the computer saved from finished runs in a linked folder and how often each snippet was reused later. It stays on this computer. Suggestions there never change your Library by themselves; you decide in the Console (Chapter 7).

#Keeping it healthy

  • Update needed on the composer: choose Update in the app or Mac settings.
  • Offline or Reconnecting: wait a moment and refresh Home. The composer always tells you why Send is blocked.
  • Removing a computer in the Console disconnects it. To start over completely, see Reset or delete the local install in the appendix.
